Weekly Announcements

Town Hall Meetings

Sunday, August 16th at 6:30pm OR Monday, August 17th at 7pm at Quest

Each year before our Annual Business Meeting, we offer Town Hall Meetings so you can hear more in depth about the budget and various pieces of church business that we can’t get into during the business meeting. These Town Halls also give an opportunity for Q&A if you have questions about the budget, leadership, etc.

Please sign up at the Ministry Table to we know how many to expect.

Annual Business Meeting

Sunday, August 30th at 10am (during main service)

We invite you to join us for the upcoming Annual Business Meeting. We’re shifting gears a little bit and will be paring down the meeting to the bare essentials like a budget flyover and vote, elder vote and membership affirmation. The majority of the time will be spent looking back on this past year and what God has done in and through Quest, and then looking forward to this next year and where we feel God is leading us.

There will not be an in-depth look at the budget during the meeting, so if you want to hear more about this or want to ask questions, please make time to come to one of the Town Hall Meetings on either August 16 or 17th.

Member or not, you’re welcome to be a part of the service. The only difference is that only members of Quest are allowed to vote.

Building Bridges: Connecting with our Non-Christian Neighbors

Sunday, August 23rd at 6:30pm at Quest
Sunday, August 30th at 5pm at Quest

The world is big and diverse place. We can’t be connected everywhere but one additional place we want to be connected is in our own neighborhood. And I am sure you have noticed that our neighborhoods in St. Louis are changing. I seems as though God has not only sent us to the world but that God is bringing the world to us.

Join us for an evening of learning how to build meaningful relationships with our non-Christian neighbors. We’ll explore the basics of another belief system and culture, gain practical insights into understanding a different worldview, and discuss respectful ways to share the hope of Christ through genuine friendship and compassionate conversation.

Please sign up for either or both of these events at the ministry table on Sunday mornings.

Women’s Bible Study: Revelation

6:30-8:30pm on Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, September 8th. The study will meet at JoAnn Pinnell’s home in Ellisville (get her address from the directory or the sign up sheet at the Ministry Table).

Please get your book before the group begins and be sure to sign up at the Ministry Table. Questions? Contact Diane Hughes.

Revelation: Eternal King, Everlasting Kingdom by Jen Wilkin

Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Jen Wilkin helps you discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God’s great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and hope with a strong call to trust and endure to believers in every age.

Women’s Bible Study: Hebrews

9:30-11am on Wednesdays on Zoom
This study is starting Wednesday, September 9th and meeting every other week through November 4th, then picking back up in January 2027.

Please get your book before the group begins and be sure to sign up at the Ministry Table so you are emailed the Zoom link. Questions? Please contact Marilyn McDonald.

Hebrews: Drawing Near to our Great High Priest by Lydia Brownback

Committing to Christ brings no guarantee of an easy life. In fact, staying faithful makes life harder in some ways. Yet it’s so worth it because Jesus Christ is better than anything. He’s a better redeemer, a better shepherd, a better ruler. And those who trust in him for salvation find fullness of joy now and forever.

In this 10-week Bible study for women, Lydia Brownback invites readers on a verse-by-verse journey through the book of Hebrews. With thoughtful reflections on the superiority of Christ, Brownback unpacks the rich character of God and the profound truths of the gospel. Whether used for individual or group study, each lesson encourages women to trust in the unshakable hope we have in Christ and face life’s trials with renewed faith.
