This winter and spring, we have taken an intentional effort to invest in marriages and families at Quest. We hope and pray that this season has helped you to grow in your walk with God and in these close relationships. One of the events we recently promoted was a seminar on “creating a media safe home,” which was facilitated and put on by Engage Family Ministries.
Engage Family Ministries is a new ministry in St. Louis that was founded by Steve and Sara Otey last year. Steve has previously served as a youth pastor for over two decades and is passionate about coming alongside families to help them grow closer to God. Engage Family Ministries focuses on helping parents and families with the major issues such as the absence of Biblical truth, lack of quality family time and the abuse and misuse of technology. The heart of this ministry is to see families engage with God, each other and the world.
We also wanted to invite Steve to come and speak on a Sunday morning at Quest as we continue our series, focusing in on parenting. This Sunday, Steve will be preaching on how to pass our faith on from one generation to the next and what it looks like to be faithful to God in our families. We are really excited to dig into this topic and we pray that it will be encouraging and helpful for you and your family.
