Discover the rhythms, stories, and traditions behind Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur & Sukkot
Sunday, October 4th at 6:30pm
What do apples and honey, a shofar, a day of fasting, and a simple outdoor shelter have in common?
They’re all connected to the rich traditions of the Jewish fall season.
Join us for a special evening of learning as we explore Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot—three significant observances in the Jewish calendar. Together, we’ll discover their biblical foundations, historical development, traditions, and enduring meaning within Jewish life today.
We’ll explore themes of remembering, repentance, reconciliation, gratitude, harvest, and dependence on God, while considering how these ancient traditions help us better understand the world of the Bible and the Jewish context of our Christian faith and how Christ will fulfill these in future times!
This isn’t about pretending to celebrate someone else’s holiday. It’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and appreciate the Jewish roots of our faith with humility and respect.
Come curious. Come ready to learn. Come hungry for a deeper understanding of Scripture and the traditions that have shaped it.
