Our relationship with local schools has always been a focus of Quest. When we met at Crestview, we took a big role in the school there with providing for the needs of the students. Now that we’re in Wildwood, Pond Elementary is right down the road and we’ve come alongside them in a similar way. However, they’ve asked us for more of our time rather than simply donating food or items. We’ve helped with Trunk or Treat, we’ve helped set up and serve at Donuts with Dad, at a Grandparent event… and now we have a couple more events that need a few volunteers.
Every year, Pond host a carnival to fundraise for the school. We are looking for 10-20 volunteers to take on hour long shifts at various game booths. You can take more than one shift if you’d like – the carnival runs from 11am-2:30pm. This is a super fun and easy way to get involved and help the community where Quest has been placed. Please sign up at the ministry table or contact Kelly Moore directly. We need all our volunteers in place by March 10th.
If time isn’t something that you have to give, we’ve also committed to helping provide prizes for their big raffle. We are trying to gather 20-25 gift cards or tickets of $10 or more to anything fun in the area. Some ideas are: DQ, Culver’s, McDonalds, Bread Co, Gas cards, Target, Walmart, Chick-Fil-A, Cardinal tickets, Sky Zone, Six Flags, B&B Theatre, etc… Really anything! We need these back by March 10th.
Later in May, we’ll help host Muffins with Moms at Pond. It’s the mom based counterpart to Donuts with Dads and will take place Friday, May 12th in the morning. More info and how to sign up will be announced as we get closer to this event.
