This year’s Baptism Palooza will be Sunday, August 26th at 10am. This has been Quest’s biggest event of the year for 6 years running. It all started when we were a young church plant meeting at Crestview Middle school. We didn’t have a facility that we could do baptisms, so we decided that doing a huge outdoor worship service and then baptizing folks in a pool would be a great option.
Many Questers look forward to this service every year. We always do it at the end of summer, under a HUGE tent and use the Loafmanns’ pool. After the baptisms, we PARTY! You’re welcome to swim, play lawn games, sit around a chat and share in a potluck picnic (everyone brings a dish or two for the spread). It tends to be a little on the warm side, so be sure to dress for the weather. If you have non-potty trained little ones that want to swim, please be sure to bring swim diapers for them.
So, here’s what you need to know about the Baptism Palooza so you come prepared…
- Bring lawn chairs to sit on
- Bring a dish or two for the potluck lunch
- Dress for the warm weather
- Bring a swimsuit/towels if you want to swim
- Be ready to have fun!!!
Also, please remember that this service is NOT AT QUEST!
It will be at Morning Star Farm just down the road. You can get the address on the event page or at Quest on Sunday mornings. Questions? Contact Beth Sinak.
Thinking about being baptized? Please contact Kevin Hughes.
