Easter service focuses on the importance of Jesus in our lives… how He effected lives of those in the Bible and how He effects lives of those here and now.
This message looks at what it meant for Jesus to suffer the cross for JOY. For us. Despising the shame of it all, he did what he did out of his incredible LOVE for us. each one of us.
Today’s message was a warning about the obsession with and use of money. The main passage came from James 4:13-5:6, but we touched on passages 1 Timothy 6:10, Matthew 6:34 and Deuteronomy 24:14-15.
James 4:1-12 – Allegiance to self destroys and divides community. Allegiance to God begins with humility and delivers us from what destroys.
We look at James 3:13-18 and how selfish ambition will ruin a church body, while Godly wisdom will bring peace.
We continue our Walk the Walk series, looking at the book of James, and what it means to be slow to speak, quick to listen and slow to anger.
This morning, we stop our routine so we can look at what God has done in and through Quest… and we say thank you to Him and to those that gave above and beyond to help us on the path that God has laid for us.
