As we anticipate Christmas and the birth of the Christ child, we also need to look at what makes his arrival so incredible. He is coming as a baby set us free of our bondage and sins. He’s coming to be crucified, to be resurrected… and to come back again.
We look at Hosea chapter 2:1-13 and study Gomer’s idolatry (v.1-5a), ingratitude (v. 5b-9) and hypocrisy (v. 10-13). How have we done similar things in our lives? to whom or what have we entrusted our lives to that is inadequate or inappropriate? To whom or what have we given the credit to that actually belongs…
