Karen Robertson

Karen is someone who has always loved being with children.  She loves the wonder in their eyes as they explore the world around them and finds delight in watching them grow.  She believes they are a true gift from God and should be cherished and nurtured in His ways.  From early on, she heard the Word of God and believed in Him.  Even through some devastating hurts as a child, she always wanted to follow Christ, but it wasn’t until her senior year of college that she totally submitted herself to His Lordship.  She remembers the confidence she was given by the Holy Spirit that night knowing that He would walk with her to the end and enable her to “never turn back”.

Karen grew up in St. Louis and has one older sister, who now lives out-of-state.  She met her husband, Jim, when she was a junior in high school and they have been together ever since – recently celebrating 48 years together, with 42 of those years together in marriage.  They have 2 children, Christopher (38) and Kirstin (28).  Both children were married in 2017, four months apart.  In March of 2018, Nolan was born to Kirstin and Gino and has been a delight to his grandparents ever since.  He is inquisitive and funny and loves his Grammy & Papa.  In June of 2019, they welcomed sweet little Edith into the family when Christopher and Sue became parents.  Karen & Jim love watching Edith grow and change, and needless to say, they are “over the moon” being Grammy & Papa to these blessings.

Karen’s faith in Christ Jesus and her background in teaching, including a degree in special education, have prepared her for the tremendous opportunity to serve the children and families of Quest.  She is thankful for the wonderful program already established in Quest Kids, and loves working with the quality teachers and nursery workers who serve so faithfully, week after week.  Quest Kids is here to be a support to parents in teaching our little ones about our Lord and help them find direction for life.
