Ever since Quest planted 5 or so years ago, we’ve partnered with the schools in our community to help families during the Christmas season. We started out at Crestview, but after moving to the new building right down the road from Pond, we thought our focus should be within our new community. Thankfully, a new church took on Crestview so our help could move to Pond Elementary and Wildwood Middle. God is so faithful!
Kelly Moore has taken on our ministry for local schools and she’s done a fabulous job coordinating events and collections on their behalf. The school’s families have many needs this Christmas, so we need YOUR help to meet them. We’re looking to collect $10 gift cards to grocery stores, Target, Walmart, Panera, gas stations, etc. These gift cards go towards helping families meet their basic needs. We have also compiled a list of specific needs like twin sheet sets, games, sports equipment, etc… we’ll have gift tags at church on Sunday that you can take with these specific needs. You can also contact Kelly directly (by email or on Facebook) if you want to get something specific before this Sunday.
We need all donations back to Quest by Sunday, December 3rd, which only gives us a couple of Sundays to collect. There will be LOTS of great deals this weekend with Black Friday and holiday sales. You can contact Kelly directly for more specific needs or simply pick up some gift cards while you’re out and about. You can bring these *UNWRAPPED* items back to Quest on Sunday, November 26th, to the Elf movie night on Friday, December 1st or Sunday, December 3rd.
Let’s spread some love and show Jesus to our local families this Christmas!
