Kelly Moore will be the new Coordinator for Quest’s partnership with Pond Elementary School. She is looking for team members and volunteers for various activities throughout the year.
The first opportunity is Ezra’s Toy Drive. We are collecting brand new toys or gift cards from now until September 18. The toy drive has been extended so you can bring your new toys or gift cards to Quest for the next couple of weeks. Ezra is a student at Pond Elementary. He lost his brother to childhood cancer in July of 2015. He has dedicated this toy drive to his brother. All toys given will be donated to Friends of Kids with Cancer that distribute toys to treatment centers for kids with cancer. When a child comes in for treatment, he gets to pick a toy from the toy closet. As Quest collects new toys, we are supporting our neighbor, Pond Elementary and blessing kids with cancer.
Another big opportunity is Pond Elementary’s Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 28 from 6-8 pm. Pond has requested lots of volunteers, young and old! Maybe you’ll get a free candy bar out of the deal!
As we get things going with Pond and gain team members and volunteers, we will expand to partnering with Wildwood Middle School as well.
Please contact Kelly Moore for more info on how to get involved.
