Finding Connection in 2021

2020 really put a damper on our ability to connect, but with this pandemic going on longer than any of us had every imagined, we want to help you find ways to connect in 2021, if you haven’t already. We have a few different opportunities for small groups and we’re laying out all the info below so you can hopefully find something that works for you and your schedule. Feel free to contact the group leader for more detailed information or talk to Johnathan Walker, as he heads up our small group ministries.

BLTs (Belong, Learn and Transform)

Our BLTs have been our main form of small groups since our beginning in 2012. These are mid-sized groups that are open to anyone looking for a group. We have four options:

Wednesdays (1st and 3rd) at 6:30pm (on Zoom) – Led by Mike and Barb Rohman

Sundays (every other) at Noon (on Zoom) – Led by Brian and Janet Carlin

Sundays (2nd & 4th) at 6:30pm at Quest – Led by Thomas and Fredda-Lois Loafmann

Sundays (2nd & 4th) from 8-9pm (on Zoom, with some occasional, in-person meetings) – Led by Johnathan and Christa Walker

Women’s Winter Bible Study

Ladies, join the group, led by Jo Moore, on Zoom on Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm as we dive into a RightNow Media study from Laurie Short. 40 Verses to Ignite Your Faith: Surprising Insights from Unexpected Passages is a video based study that will have an accompanying PDF of questions to help us get the most of our time in the Bible. Each week we will watch a 6 to 10 minute video and then share our thoughts about the topic of focus. A time of prayer requests will follow.

Please email Diane Hughes if you wish to sign up for this study.

After you sign up for this study, you will be sent the Zoom link and a PDF that goes with the study. It contains only one verse to read 5 days a week, all centered on the same topic of that particular week. Laurie Short asks us to consider what we got out of the verses after we read them and bring that to the discussion. Reading those verses before we meet to give additional time for thought and application is highly encouraged, but please join us if you are unable to do so. The weekly video will address the same topic you’ve read.

Men’s Bible Study

Our men’s Bible study meets over Zoom at 6:30am on Wednesday mornings. Kevin Hughes leads this group, and while they’re currently in a study – The Case for a Creator, by Lee Strobel – anyone is welcome to join at any time. Simply email Kevin for the meeting info and Zoom link. They’ll be starting a new study soon, and we’ll announce that when they group switches to the new study focus.
