Thursday, April 24th | 6-8:30pm
The Women’s Book Club will be reading The Language of Sycamores by Lisa Wingate. This continues the series that the group started when they read Tending Roses.
The third novel in the “Tending Roses” series by Lisa Wingate, “The Language of Sycamores” revisits Karen Sommerfield, who has been avoiding the big questions in her life, such as her marriage, her inability to have children, and her cancer diagnosis. When she’s downsized from her high-powered job and her doctor tells her the cancer may be back, Karen retreats to her Grandma Rose’s old farm in the Missouri Ozarks. There, she finds a lonely child in need of care and discovers insights into her family’s past. In the quiet of the Ozarks, Karen begins to hear the secret language of the sycamores and finds answers to make her life complete.
Get the book and read it before the one time Thursday, April 24th. You can get the book wherever books are sold. Sign up at the Ministry Table to let the hosts know you’re coming!
