Hi Everyone! On Saturday, May 6th Quest will be having a work day at the property to do landscaping, planting of flowers and other chores property owners often do in the spring time. Now, did you noticed that I did not say, “we are having a work day at Quest” or “we are having a work day at church”? That’s because you, me and all who gather at 17126 Manchester Road, Wildwood, MO are the church… we are Quest. So, the property is where the church meets, and while it does not define “who” Quest is, it is a reflection of how Quest relates to our neighbors and to our community. If we want to be “a people in and for the community” and relate well with our neighbors, then the upkeep of the property is one example of saying we care and we want to be responsible neighbors. This will be a great opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with other Questers and get your hands dirty, to build new relationships and deepen existing ones and to help Quest be neighborly.
Officially, we will start at 9am and work until about 3pm, but you’re welcome to come whenever you can and lunch will be provided! Make sure to wear clothes you can get dirty and bring tools like shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, chain saws, etc. Please keep a close eye on the Quest website, Twitter or Facebook for any updates if the weather becomes a factor.
