Sunday, October 4th will bring about a couple of big changes to Quest that you need to be aware of: Quest Kids will reopen and we will begin offering two Sunday morning service times (9am and 10:30am).
First, we are going to reopen Quest Kids to accommodate up to 35 kindergarten-6th graders. PreK and under will not be reopened as of now, and we apologize for any disappointment, but we didn’t feel that we could distance these ages for the safety of all involved (kids, teachers and families). This is an ongoing process and we are working toward eventually welcoming all ages back through the Quest Kids doors.
Karen Robertson will be in contact with our current Quest Kids families with the new policies and procedures that will need to be followed. If you do not receive an email or call from her or one of her volunteers, please contact her directly.
With the reopening of Quest Kids, this makes another change necessary for the main worship service. Because our numbers are restricted due to distancing measures, we will not be able to fit our attendees in the auditorium for one service. Our attendance numbers have needed the overflow area, plus if we add in the returning families, we simply won’t be able to accommodate everyone in one service.
So, after a long deliberation, the decision has been made to (temporarily) change from our current 10am service to offering two, one-hour services on Sunday mornings at 9am and 10:30am, starting Sunday, October 4th. Quest Kids will ONLY be offered during the 10:30am service. Those in attendance over the age of 5 are asked to wear face coverings per the St. Louis County regulations.
Registration for services will still be necessary and we thank you for helping us out by doing this. Registration will continue to open the Thursday prior to any given Sunday. Parents, there will be an option to register your kids for Quest Kids, so please be sure to specify how many Quest Kids registrations you’ll need. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis because we can only accept 35 kindergarten-6th graders on a Sunday morning. If you pre-register, but find that you cannot attend, please let Beth Sinak know as soon as possible so the spots can be opened up for another family.
