Excitement is building as Quest Beyond Christmas Workshop is just around the corner on Sunday, Nov 23rd, 2014. We look forward to seeing you there! Imagine yourself having a great time with fellow Questers working on crafts. Laughing, eating, and enjoying community. Then at the end of a fun, satisfying day, when the last craft is done and the last slice of pizza is eaten, you go home. But wait! There is more to this story…now, it is time to go “Beyond” the Quest Beyond Christmas Workshop. All those wonderful crafts need to be given out! Imagine being able to do the following:
· Stopping by an elderly widow’s house to deliver a meal and a present…a beautiful blanket. As she opens the door she greets you with a smile because quite often it is the only time she spends with other people. Contact Michelle Galbraith
· Facilitating a fun night of Bingo handing out crafts to the winners and smiles to all who participate at a local nursing home. Contact Steve Hicks
· Delivering teddy bears, hugs and smiles on Christmas day to people living in nursing homes. Contact Doug Walker
· Delivering crafts and gifts to ministries that make a huge impact in our community and in lives of the people they serve. Contact Steve Hicks
· Sharing the message of “Christ”mas through gifts delivered your to neighbors.
Wow, what an opportunity to be “in and for the community”, too go beyond ourselves to love and relate to people in our community. MEAAA, Thrive, Sunshine Mission, Nursing Homes, neighbors, and the homeless are going to be impacted by YOU by the crafts made at the workshop and by giving them out. There will be signup sheets at the Quest Beyond Christmas Workshop. If you can’t make it to the workshop but want to help with delivery reach out to the contact person above.
