Preparing Our Hearts for the Giving of Thanks

Preparing our hearts for the giving of thanks… it is not only a beautiful American Tradition rooted in the Elizabethan English that founded a colony in the New World early in the 17th century, but it is a profound quality of the people of God in every century of human history.  No doubt that life is riddled with difficult things day in…

How Will You Show Christmas Compassion?

It’ a week before Thanksgiving and our community is already preparing for the coming Christmas season.  Throughout the area, we see a scattering of homes that have Christmas lights shining brightly in the night sky, trucks dropping off Christmas trees at parking lots and many businesses are starting to decorate their stores.  There always seems to be a level of anticipation or…

What Does it Look Like to Love Our Community?

What does it look like to love our community? Well, the answer to that question is not complicated but it could look like a million different things… depending on what God provides for us to do on any given day or in any given circumstance.  Each of us will have opportunities day in and day out – IF we keep our eyes…

Decorating for Christmas

Christmas. It’s a big time of year for a church. It holds so much tradition, so many memories and the promise of so much hope. We’ll have lots of visitors walk through our doors and we want to be ready for them. Quest wants to provide a place that is inviting, warm, friendly and helps people connect to this special time of year. Decorating…

A Time of Prayer Together

I would like to invite you all to join together on Sunday, November 6th (two days before the elections), from 5-6 pm in the Lower Level of our new building to PRAY… not primarily for the elections however! Our focus will be to pray for our church and the churches throughout the United States.   While it is very important that we pray for…

Serve St. Louis Reflection

We enjoyed beautiful weather and had success at all of our projects at Serve St. Louis 2016.  That Saturday morning, the skies were an amazing blue with soft, light clouds drifting by. Volunteers gathered together throughout the St. Louis area to take on the task they signed up for. There seems to always be a little bit of energy, a buzz, that stirs as…

Hurricane Matthew’s Effect on WISH in Haiti

It always amazes me to see how God works through His people, His ambassadors.  At least, when I take time to notice it.  God is at work every day here, and all around the world.  But, life gets busy with family, work, chores and to do lists.  This can pull me away from the eternal joy and peace of being a follower…

Scandalous Love

There is something scandalous about love no matter what, and the love of God is the most scandalous of all.  His love is a love that absorbs, on Himself, the brokenness and shame of our lives, rather than hold them against us.  The condition of the human soul is a tragic mess, covered by a thin veil that tries to pass us…

Haiti Feeding Program *Update*

Our Quest Kids raised money over the summer to help support the feeding program in Haiti that Quest has partnered with. The congregation was challenged to meet what the kids gave, and once again, you all went above and beyond expectations. Together, we collected $1,672.56. That’s 4,779 meals. The program proves meals for 180 kids per day… we’ve helped provide 27 days of…

Hosea Launches This Week

Scandalous Love… sounds like we are standing in line at the grocery store and scanning the tabloid headlines!  Those magazines can be tantalizing, but probably not ones you admit to reading.  They are just a little to salacious. It is strange, but God’s Word: the Bible, is full of scandal and things that seem salacious.  The book Hosea, is one of those.  It is…
