May I jot a note for today concerning the tragedy that unfolded yesterday in Florida.  Once again, our nation has been racked by the senseless violence of a lone gunman in one of our schools.  The heartache is indescribable.  The pain, grief and loss for that community is immense.  Once again, and without apology, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families that have been devastated by this situation. And yes, there are a bucket full of issues that need to be honestly addressed by all of us in this country.  May we not excuse our leaders from doing this, but may we not excuse ourselves from the responsibility that is ours as citizens of this country.  But for today, may we dig deep into the mercy of God for the people of Broward County in Florida.
