It’s always a wonder to me how God works, how He provides, how He blesses. In 1 Corinthians 12, God speaks of spiritual gifts, one body with many parts and the many different ways God blesses believers to reach the lost. Throughout the chapter we are reminded that it is the same God that works in all of us. And, that all of our unique gifts are from the same Spirit. Verses 4-6 state it most clearly,
4There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit. 5 There are different ways to serve the same Lord, 6 and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do.
Consider this… we have two teams that have members from multiple churches heading to Haiti to work with the missionaries (from Canada) of WISH and the Haitian workers, to build a pavilion at the youth center in Anse-a-Galet. The new youth center program will give the children of the community a Christ-centered safe place to be. The team’s ability to do the work was a result of Questers donating $12,300 during the Christmas eve service for the Advent Conspiracy offering. There will also be many people praying for the lost, the team and for God to be glorified.
And, that is the wonder… that is so profound… one body with many different parts, each doing different things, all coming from the same Spirit serving the same God to reach the lost.
