HAPPY NEW YEAR! …is what you’ll be saying to your fellow Questers this coming Sunday! Yes, we’re meeting on New Year’s Day for our annual post Christmas, all-church palooza! We’ve done all kinds of things in the past from raffles to Bingo to trivia… this year, however, we’re going to do things a little more low key.
We’ll start the morning at 10am with some worship (lite) and announcements. Then Chris Cakes will serve up a delicious breakfast (pancakes, sausage, OJ and coffee) starting around 10:20ish. It may take a bit of time to get everyone through the line, so please be patient. There will be a gluten free pancake station set up as well.
There isn’t a formal game or program planned – we just want to offer an easy morning to chat, catch up, meet someone new, etc. Want to wear your pajamas? Go ahead! Slippers are 100% acceptable if you so choose. However, if pancakes with a large helping of community isn’t enough for you, there will be a few games set up in the lower level where Quest Kids normally meets. Anyone is welcome to go down to play with what is set up, but we ask that parents accompany their kids because there won’t be childcare provided during the palooza.
It’ll be an easy and belly-filling morning at Quest, so this is a great opportunity to invite friends or family. Also, if you have any clothing or camping gear to donate to Message and a Meal, please remember to bring those items with you to the Pancake Palooza. We hope to see you Sunday!
